TFR operates across all six major rail corridors in South Africa and owns the country’s core rail, ports, and pipeline infrastructure. Its network plays a critical role in enabling domestic, regional, and export market logistics.

Purpose of the Programme

The Transnet Freight Rail Graduate Development Programme is a structured 24-month training programme designed to equip young graduates with professional experience and institutional knowledge. Progress is assessed every six months to ensure development goals are met.

This opportunity is open to graduates from South African public institutions, including Universities, Universities of Technology, and TVET Colleges.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in:
    • Computer Science
    • Statistics
    • Mathematics
    • Or a related field

  • Must be a South African citizen
