Eligibility Requirements for The Mwelase Group of Companies Bursary 2026

New Students (First Year)

  • South African Citizen
  • Minimum of 70% for Mathematics and Physical Science and as per Institution requirements for engineering fields
  • Minimum of 60% for Mathematics and Physical Science in Technical field
  • Minimum of 60% for Mathematics and Accounting in the Commerce field

Tertiary Students (Undergraduate Studies)

  • South African citizen
  • Academic record with a minimum 65% aggregate
  • Motivational letter requesting bursary funding
  • Applicants cannot be recipients of a bursary by another Organisation or funding scheme (NSFAS)

Additional Considerations

  • Preference will be given to residents of Emalahleni and Steve Tshwete Municipalities
  • Preference will be given to historically disadvantaged individuals
