Astron Energy Bursary 2026 — Astron Energy invites talented South African students to apply for their Engineering Stream Bursary Programme for the 2026 academic year. This fully funded bursary supports students studying towards BSc or BEng Engineering Degrees at accredited Higher Education Institutions in South Africa.

Astron Energy is one of South Africa’s top petroleum suppliers with over 850 Caltex-branded service stations. The company owns one of the country’s largest crude oil refineries in Cape Town, producing petrol, diesel, jet fuel, LPG, and more — with a capacity of 100,000 barrels per day.

Eligibility Requirements

  • Must be a South African citizen
  • Must be under 35 years old
  • Must have completed Matric
  • Must be studying (or intending to study) full-time towards a BSc or BEng Engineering Degree
  • Must be entering final year in 2026 or completing a 1-year postgrad in 2026
  • Must not be repeating a degree
  • Must study at any registered SA higher education institution (including private colleges or TVETs)
  • Must have achieved at least 70% average for the last full academic year
  • Must NOT be employed full-time

  • Certified full academic record (all years)
  • Latest official transcripts
  • Fee statement (include lease agreement if off-campus)
  • Proof of other bursary funding or NSFAS (if applicable)
  • Certified ID copies of parents/guardians or death certificates
  • Consent form (if under 18)
  • Doctors’ letter + EEA1 form (if disabled)
  • Motivational letter (1–2 pages)
  • Comprehensive CV

All certified documents must be less than 3 months old.
