Garden Cities Bursary South Africa 2026 — The historic Garden Cities property group, in partnership with the University of the Western Cape (UWC), is inviting applications for their 2026 bursary programme. This bursary supports students pursuing specific undergraduate and honours qualifications, continuing Garden Cities’ century-long commitment to community development and educational advancement in South Africa.
About Garden Cities
The Garden Cities group was established in 1919 by businessman Richard Stuttaford, inspired by Sir Ebenezer Howard’s vision of creating pleasant living environments. Operating for over 100 years, Garden Cities has developed numerous housing communities including Pinelands Garden City, Meadowridge Garden City, Edgemead Garden City, and Victoria Park Garden City.
As a property and housing group committed to social investment, Garden Cities reinvests all profits into community development initiatives, including recent projects to build school halls and provide science laboratories in under-resourced Western Cape schools.
This bursary is administered exclusively through the University of the Western Cape (UWC) and requires all applications to be submitted as a single PDF document to the specified UWC contact.
