Over the last 16 years, Clientèle has contributed to the common good by giving back to the community through the Bursary Scheme, investing over R23 million and assisting more than 153 students to date.

Eligibility Requirements for Clientèle Royalty Bursary South Africa 2027

• South African citizen
• Under the age of 21 at 30 April 2026
• Minimum average of 60%
• Biological or legally adopted child of a Clientèle Royalty client who is on Tier 3, 4 or 5
• Applying for first or second year undergraduate studies in 2027
• First-time, full-time undergraduate qualification (postgraduate not covered)
• Must study at SA Department of Education accredited institution within South Africa
• Not already in possession of a bursary from another institution
• Only one bursary per family will be awarded
• Parent/legal guardian must remain on Tier 3, 4 or 5 for bursary duration

Important: Meeting minimum criteria does not guarantee selection. The Bursary Committee’s decision is final.

Bursary Coverage Details

• Base Amount: Up to R60,000 per annum
• Covered Expenses: Fees, books, equipment, accommodation
• Additional Approval: Committee may approve amounts above R60,000 for these same categories
• No Cash Payments: Funds paid directly to institution/service provider upon invoice presentation
• Invoice Deadline: Invoices must reach Bursary Office by 31 March annually
• Accommodation Deposits: Any deposits paid by company will be deducted from final year’s allowance if not refunded to company by recipient
• No Shortfall Entitlement: If costs are less than R60,000, recipient not entitled to difference

Bursary recipients must complete studies in minimum prescribed years. No more than two subjects may be repeated at recipient’s own cost.

Academic Conditions

• Complete studies in minimum number of years prescribed by institution
• Maximum two subjects may be repeated (fees for repeats at recipient’s own account)
• Bursary withdrawal: If recipient fails more than two subjects in any year
• Degree changes after signing contract require written Bursary Committee permission
• Mid-year and year-end exam results must be sent to Bursary Office immediately upon release
• Absence from exams without prior written approval = bursary withdrawal
• Company reserves right to withdraw bursary for non-adherence to rules

Critical: Failure to submit exam results immediately or unauthorized exam absence will result in bursary withdrawal.

Required Documents for Clientèle Royalty Bursary South Africa 2027

• Completed application form (in black ink)
• Certified copy of applicant’s South African identity card
• Grade 11 final year-end results (for Grade 12 applicants in 2026) OR final matric certificate and most recent academic results (if already matriculated)
• Photo (for scanned applications – send in separate file with applicant’s name)

Important: Applications that are not 100% complete and signed will not be considered. Ensure all documents are certified.

Application Process Timeline

• 30 April 2026: Closing date for 2027 Royalty Bursary applications
• By 30 June 2026: All applicants notified via SMS of application status
• March/April 2026: Apply for university admission (start research early)
• Shortlisted applicants: Required to attend interview with Bursary Committee member
• Pre-university applicants: Complete online career assessment arranged by company
• 31 January 2027: Successful applicants send university acceptance confirmation
• 31 January 2027: Signed contract must be returned to Bursary Office
• By 31 March annually: Invoices for costs must reach Bursary Office

The Bursary Committee determines successful applicants through comprehensive review. Only a select few will be shortlisted.

Programme Rules & Conditions

• No bursary awarded to applicants with other bursaries
• First-time, full-time undergraduate qualifications only (no postgraduate)

• Study at SA accredited institutions only
• One bursary per family
• Parent/guardian must remain on Tier 3-5 for duration
• Exam results must be submitted immediately
• No unauthorized exam absence

The company reserves the right to withdraw the bursary for failure to adhere to any rules.
