Eligibility Requirements for Wells Mountain Initiative Scholarship Program 2026

Annual Renewal Requirements

- Submit bi-annual academic and community service reports on time
Academic Reports Include:
- Semester grade results
- Current bursary or fee statement
- Current academic calendar
- Completed Scholar Expense Tracker with receipts showing how WMI funds were spent
Community Service Reports Include:
- Summary of service activities
- Photos documenting the activities
Discontinuation: WMI may discontinue a scholarship at any time for unsatisfactory academic performance, dishonesty, misuse of funds, or failure to complete community service requirements.

3. Essay Question (1000 words)
Prompt: If you were given $1,000 to address a challenge in your community, what issue would you focus on and why?
Explain: root cause and why it persists, why this issue matters to you personally, how your field of study connects to the issue, what you would do with the $1,000 grant, and how you would measure success with 2-3 realistic indicators.
4. Recommenders
Names and correct email addresses for two people who will write recommendations for you.
5. ID and Photo
- A headshot photo
- A national ID or other official photo ID
Academic Integrity Policy
- All work submitted must fully originate from you
- Cite any quotations or references—plagiarism will result in disqualification
- AI-generated text or outline structures are strictly prohibited
- Personal statements and essays will be checked for plagiarism and AI-generated content
- Use of uncredited ideas, content created by others, or AI-generated text directly violates scholarship policy
- Any applicants found to have plagiarized or used AI-generated content will be considered ineligible
