About Gold One Group Limited
Gold One Group Limited is a leading mining organisation known for developing low-risk, high-value precious metal assets. Their flagship project, the Modder East Gold Mine, is the first mine built in the East Rand Goldfield in over 30 years.
Located 30 km east of Johannesburg, the mine focuses on the Black Reef and UK9A Kimberley Reef, mined between 300–500 metres below the surface. Modder East boasts a 10-year life of mine and contributes significantly to local employment and economic upliftment.

A total of 31 bursaries are available: 15 internal and 16 external.
Requirements for External Candidates
- Must be registered with a recognised South African institution.
- Proof of registration and official study quotations required.
- All documents must be SAPS certified.
- Provide certified proof of household income.
- Provide certified proof of residence (priority given to Ekurhuleni wards).
- South African citizenship is required.
- All documents must be submitted in PDF format — no images accepted.
Preference will be given to applicants in Springs, Benoni, Brakpan, Nigel and surrounding townships.
