About the Bursary Provider – LPG Association of South Africa

The Liquefied Petroleum Gas Association of South Africa (LPGSA) is a non-profit organisation founded in 1987. It represents companies involved in LPG installations, distribution, appliance sales, and related hardware. LPGSA promotes safety, good business practices, training, certification, and growth in the gas industry while supporting young talent entering the field.

The bursary competition offers 8 bursaries for female students to pursue the LPG Residential Installation Course, which includes:

Eligibility Requirements

South African citizen
Female, aged 18–45 years
Previously disadvantaged background (B-BBEE)
Passed Grade 9 English or higher
Studied STEM subjects or TVET technical science from Grade 9 upwards
Not employed by LPGSA, its sponsors, or closely related to judging panel

PowerPoint Presentation (max 20 slides, in English) covering:

- Impact of LPG adoption on households
- Socio-economic issues addressed via LPG

Applicants must deliver their presentation to the selection panel, either in person or virtually.
